“A Different Kind of Christmas for Mozambique”- a dream come true!

Orando por los enfermos

We spent the holidays with Roberto and Laura Gomez, doctors and missionaries in Mozambique, with their three children and all of workers in their clinic. Each one came to the celebration accompanied by their respective family. It was a night filled with joy and gifts for all!!!

We also worked with children, a lot of them orphans that won over our hearts. We evangelized through theatre skits, always relying on our translators for both Portuguese and Chichewa. We helped the doctors, praying for the sick and serving them breakfast; we sewed curtains, cleaned and painted the clinic.

We were able to share in a special meeting with the women from the clinic, in the midst of a culture where women are not valued. It was an afternoon filled with celebration which we all enjoyed very much!

We had the opportunity to visit several churches in the area, leaving them words of encouragement, and enjoying each meeting that we shared, filled with joy, dance and the passion that they are known for!!

We visited the homes of the volunteers that work in the clinic where they served us large amounts of food, which we ate with our hands- this was quite a culture shock for us!

We are so thankful to God for His care, His faithful provision, and for this time that we will never forget.
