Finland Team
From January 4 to 28 we were hosts to a team of ten students and leaders from the DTS (Discipleship Training School) in Finland. They were completing the practical outreach phase of their school in our base, working with the Rescue and Restoration Ministry and with the Church Planting Ministry (Family Centre Church).
Children, youth and families were blessed by each one of the team members, during their visits to homes in the neighbourhood and the time they invested in youth meetings, through sharing songs and words of encouragement. They made a different in different areas of our city, taking with them words of faith and hope to the cardboard collectors living downtown, families living at risk, community centres, the women’s jail, a family living with HIV, and more.
Even though they came from a different cultures and spoke a different language, that didn’t stop this team making an impact on the lives of those they shared with.
Once again, God surprised us!
