RETREAT 2010
From Thursday 22 April to Sunday 25 April we hosted our annual staff retreat here at YWAM North, Corrientes. It was a great time where we could look back and see God’s amazing faithfulness throughout these last 14 years of service. Something that really stood out during the times of worship was the general attitude of gratefulness from each one present for God’s sovereignty and favour… all we have is from Him and for Him.
The two speakers, Alejandro Rodriquez, pastor and the national YWAM director for Argentina, and David Olivera, Pastor and YWAM Corrientes Director; both shared throughout the retreat, bringing words that motivated each of the YWAM missionaries to respond to God.
The word that most stuck out during the retreat was “To know God and make Him known.” And in light of this time was spent sharing about the projects and challenges that we have achieved.
- A video report was given on the “different kind of Christmas” held in Mozambique in December 2009.
- Another video report on the two teams who travelled to Chile, during March and April, to do relief and construction work in the aftermath of the earthquake suffered there.
- Cameroon was also present with us through the testimony of Daniella Larroca, sharing with us the work that God has been doing there, through her life as one of our missionaries working with a pygmy tribe.
Our desire to make God known continues to beat in each of our hearts and it is for that reason that as YWAM Corrientes we are planning a ‘different kind of Christmas’ for Haiti. This prject open to all the churches and people who would like to be a part of it.
The last project that we would like to share with you is our desire to open up a YWAM base in Quito, Ecuador…
