With a focus on the international day for children at risk, on Saturday the 19th of June, we as a YWAM base held an event in the ‘Juan de Vera’ plaza, one of the most important plazas in the City of Corrientes. Our aim was to make the people within our reach aware of the risks that children are suffering around the world and to share the hope and life that the message of the Cross offers.
We set up an information desk with material on different kinds of risks and dangers that the children face daily, such as: Child abuse, Children who are forced to participate in wars, Street children, Child prostitution, Child labour, etc. The Evangelism ministry was in charge of organising the event, with the help of the Rescue and restoration Ministry and King’s Kids who both helped to represent the information that was being shared.
The art ministry was present with living statues and clowns who were handing out balloons with Christian values and principles on them, and through this helped to spread a little joy to both young and old. And without fail the King’s kids group presented various choreographies that ministered to the hearts of all of those who saw them.
