The Basek Community Equatorial Guinea

The Basek people of Equatorial Guinea speak ‘Seki’, they have a population of 11.000, including 3.000 people living outside of the country. Their primary profession is agriculture with the nick-name ‘half coasters’ because of the fact that they have this double work capacity, working in the jungle or on the coast-line. 90% of the population confess to being christian, but very few have a clear understanding of what the Gospel is really about.
Not one book of the Bible is translated into their language! They urgently need it, in order to be able to gain a clear understanding of who Jesus is and why He came to earth, It is vital for their Spiritual growth!
LETS PRAY: for the Basek people to be able to receive translators who will provide them with a Bibe in their own language, aswell as teachers who can teach them how to read.

GOD LOVES THE BASEK PEOPLE!

Why not adopt this people group so that they can receive the Bible in their own language. By standing together in Prayer this could become a reality!

Bible translation is IMPORTANT!
… because it’s probable that they don’t have a written alphabet for their language, making it even more difficult for them to read or write in another language. “He read it aloud from daybreak till noon as he faced the square before the Water Gate in the presence of the men, women and others who could understand. And all the people listened attentively to the Book of the Law.” Nehemiah 8:3
