We cannot finish another year with reflecting on what we have lived this year. Regardless of what your year was like, whether it was harder than you had expected, or maybe it was the best year of your life, or perhaps it was neither good nor bad, just normal, regardless of all that, there is an undenyable truth that GOD HAS BEEN GOOD. He has given us life throughout this whole year and helped us to see it through, and that is enough reason to say: Thank you Lord!

Today we invite you to reflect on this past year, to examine each and every thing, whether good or bad, and to also reflect on how God was always present in each of those details. How He took care of you, how He protected you, how He provided for your needs, how He healed your sickness or injury, how He made you stronger in that moments when you leastthought that you could make it through, how He sent you a special encouraging word in the moment when you precisely needed it to regain your strength and vision. Reflect on how He has been good… in the moments of scarcity, in the moments of sickness, in the moments of internal conflicts, how good He has been to your family, in the midst of your weaknesses… He has been good in the ministry that He has given you and He will continue to be good because He is the author of everything. THANK YOU GOD FOR EVERYTHING THAT WAS LIVED THIS YEAR and Thank you for everything that you will do next year!

I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.

Song of Solomon 2:10-12 (King James Version)

Spring is my favourite Season and I believe that we all wait every year for the arrival of spring, giving colors to the landscape, the trees and the flowers. In the air there is perfume and the song of the birds is heard everywhere.
Spring brings joy to the hearts, and they say that it is the time of the love!
But the winter is a station not so desired. Everything becomes dry and without verdure.
The cold invites us to lock ourselves up in our houses, without being able to enjoy nature in its fullest, unlike in other stations of the year. The wind is cold and the rain causes the days to appear more gray.

We also go through winters in our lives. It is that time in which everything becomes more difficult. It is those difficult things that we have lived and have made us suffer: those cold winds of difficulties that made us lose many tears, the frosts that drains our hearts until the are completely dry. The gray days that robbed the colors and the desire to live…

We all through this season of cold in our lives. How good it is, to hear from God: “Rise up… because the winter is past,… The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come …”
The winter does not last forever, later spring comes! It’s the same in our lives. If today you are going through one of these “winter days”, remember that soon its will pass! Trust in God although all appears to be dark, cold and sad; because surely “the time of the song” will arrive, and there will be much to enjoy!

“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
Will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.
For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler…” (Psalm 91:1-4)

We are living in a very special time. And maybe you think these times are also very dangerous: pests, such violence and insecurity. But the psalmist says that God can rid us of all this! “He will set you free… ,of the destructive plague. Will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings ….” you will be safe. In these times of crisis there is hope in God, we just have to trust Him and not distance ourselves from his “shelter”. This means that we must get closer to Him and live “under the shadow of the Almighty …” Our only security is in God. Then when the difficulties increase, when disease appears beyond the control of medical science, this is the time to seek God and see His great power! He can get rid “of the destructive pest”, it says in His Word. This is the time to seek the protection of those who promised us “He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge” The invitation is to run to Him who is our only “Hope” and our “Fortress” and in whom we find shelter and can always trust!

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power”. (NIV)

The Word of God says that’s not in our strength in which we must deal with different challenges we face in daily life.
You may be facing one or more of these problems that are listed here.
Problems such as, in the home, at work, with finances, relationships, physical pain or emotional or even spiritual problem, the list of challenges we face daily goes on.

When these big tests that seem impossible come, God who knows our limitations tells us ” strengthen yourself with the Lords great power “.
This power has no limits!

So if you feel tired or weak, or if you’re passing some of the problems mentioned above, or another type of problem, this is the time to look to God and his strength! He is there waiting to reach you with His great power.
You just have to ask every day that He would fill you with his strength in order to face these problems and be victorious in every situation.

Always remember this! “It is not in your strength”

Chapter 1 of Job tells us this unique event, where the devil challenged God to test Job’s faith. (1:11)
I believe that God believed in Job because he allows the enemy to bring him suffering.

Job was almost dead, full of sores, his body spent and eaten, terrified by visions, anguished, broken, full of bitterness.
Job felt persecuted by God, persecuted by the enemy and also persecuted by his loved ones!

He was trapped in this situation, without friends who encouraged him, but instead condemned him!
This was a really difficult time to overcome, but even so Job under these conditions still could say, referring to his God “In Him I wait”

What an example of faithfulness! Do you know what? God rewarded Job’s faithfulness, and he ended up having more than what he started with and received more than what the enemy stole.

Whatever the situation you face today, however difficult it may be, it will not equal that of Job. Nothing should remove your trust in God, He who knows how to reward the loyalty of His children.

Therefore, no matter how difficult today is for you, or no mater how big the problem you’re facing which is trying to stop you see way the out, remain faithful to God, and declare as Job did “In Him I wait “

Tere

"Now there was a famine in the land…. and Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines in Gerar….
The region of Gerar was an isolated place on the outskirts of the desert, Egypt was a good place to breed animals, and that was Isaacs occupation.

In that time there was a famine on the earth and Isaac was in Gerar…

God didn't want Isaac to go to Egypt, even though it would have been easier for him to do so. "Do not go down to Egypt " this was the order, in other words God's saying stay here and don't go even though it may seem difficult for you to do so.

Egypt symbolised this world and system of living and God warned Isaac like he warns us today. Don't go down to Egypt, the idea is to climb, grow in God and do not descend or turn back "live in the land where I tell you to live", God always has the best for us in mind.

Reflect on this, every time that you don't obey God, you start to descend…

In this new year walk in obedience what God tells you, because that's what's best for you.

His promise is "I will be with you and will bless you" so carry on and don't descend!

"You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives".Gn 50:20

Joseph said these words to his brothers You intended to harm me and God used it for good this is a well known story, the brothers sold Joseph into slavery and he was taken to Egypt. God was with Joseph and things worked out for his good.

God can convert our difficulties, problems and the things others do against us into something good for both us and many other people. Jose Acknowledged this when he said, "To accomplish what is now being done" he was the governor of Egypt for the saving of many lives".

Many people were saved from dying of starvation. when you find yourselves in problems one of the questions you need to ask is, for what reason Lord? In the book of Romans 8:28 says " And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him"

So if you love God and your faithful to him, He will use all that happens to you for your good. God is in control and he can turn every situation INTO GOOD FOR YOU.

“But the LORD is the true God; He is the living God, the eternal King. When he is angry, the earth trembles; the nations cannot endure his wrath.” Jeremiah 10:10

God made it very clear in this verse, who the one true God is and who the false gods are who don’t have life or power and who aren’t eternal…

One morning I woke up early to go to the hospital, only to find it raining and for me this was not a good thing because the streets would be all muddy and when I arrived at the hospital I would have to wait outside until it opened so that I could get a number and wait in line for my turn to see the doctor. It all seemed so difficult!! So there I was thinking about not going at all, even though I knew that I needed it… and I was starting to feel guilty…

I asked God “what should I do?” and opened my bible to see if He would speak to me through His word. As I opened it this verse caught my eye ‘But the LORD is the true God; He is the living God, the eternal King’ as I read it I felt a question rise up inside my heart “am I with the True God?” immediately it was clear to me: “ Yes!!” So, what could be so difficult? Why don’t you believe that everything is going to be ok because God is with you? Even though everything seems so difficult…” I realized something right then: it’s not the same walking down the street or living through whatever situation as it is knowing that the true God is with you! becuase we go through most days without realizing it and that’s when the difficulties get the better of us.

But you need to believe that the true God can make the doors open before you and every difficulty disappear! He is the living God and can act in power, today just as much as He could yesterday because He is the Eternal God!! He’s challenged me to now confront my problems and difficulties with this attitude…

That same morning I left the house walking tall as a giant, the ‘doors opened up before me’ and everything went well. When I arrived back home it was heavy on my heart ‘it’s not the same walking through life with the one true God as it is walking without Him!’ and being conscious of this changes our vision. It encourages us because we know that God can solve our problems, everything that seems impossible for us. And even more than that, God wants to do it! So my question today is: Are you with the one true God?!

- Tere

"But be assured today that the Lord your God is the one who goes across ahead of you like a devouring fire. He will destroy them, he will subdue them before you And you will drive them out and annihilate them quickly, as the Lord has promised you". Dt 9:3

The people of Isreal had to go and conquer a number of enemies, more powerful than they, of whom they said " Who can help us face them?" The people of God were faced with a great challenge! Then comes the exhortation: Be assured today that the Lord your God is the one who goes ahead of you (v.3) He's the one who takes care of your enemies.

There's something we need to understand today, He is the one who faces the enimies, no matter how big they are, He is the victor. The question is: do you allow God to go ahead or do you want to do things your way? Do you prefer to fight alone in your own strength, until frustration and tiredness defeat you?

The invitation is to allow God to go ahead and He will take care of your enemies! "You will drive them out and annihilate them quickly!"

Gen. 25: 29 – 31

“29 – Once when Jacob was cooking some stew, Esau came in from the open country, famished. 30 – He said to Jacob, "Quick, let me have some of that red stew! I'm famished!" (That is why he was also called Edom. [a] )

It is always when we are really tierd that we loose patience, we don't want to wait … and it's here that we commit errors!!
Esau inverted the values and sold his “birth rights” because he was really tierd (v: 30) He wanted to satisfy his need at that moment and wasn't thinking about the future consequences. This can happen to us too when the only things that are important to us are things of the moment. When we don't want to fight anymore because we are really tierd, we run the risk of selling our “birth rights” so that we can feel good…
God focuses on His eternal plans while we just focus on the little detail… How sad!! … and very often these details are people who come and go, or it could be something that we can't forgive or forget.

May God help us to put in order our priorities in our list of values. The correct order would be to put that which came first in first place… God, who was and is, and is to come!
