Staff spent two weeks learning about the Inductive Method for studying God’s word and pouring over their bibles in order to improve their theoretical and practical knowledge of 1st and 2nd Thessalonians. Viviana Gomez, one of our base secretaries, shared, “The truth is that Paul has left my mouth open and God is speaking very deeply to my heart. There have been a lot of personal challenges, and a lot of homework, but the seminar has been very good.”

This is the first two-week round of several biblical seminars that YWAM Corrientes staff will be taking and it is a great opportunity for us all to learn more about what our bible says, why it says it, and what it means for our personal lives. THE SCHOOL OF ART IN MISSIONS (SAM) exists to disciple artists, restore cultures and above all to discover God the Artist and our capacity to create as his children. Today we invite you to reflect on this past year, to examine each and every thing, whether good or bad, and to also reflect on how God was always present in each of those details. How He took care of you, how He protected you, how He provided for your needs,  how He healed your sickness or injury, how He made you stronger in that moments when you leastthought that you could make it through, how He sent you a special encouraging word in the moment when you precisely needed it to regain your strength and vision. Reflect on how He has been good… in the moments of scarcity, in the moments of sickness, in the moments of internal conflicts, how good He has been to your family, in the midst of your weaknesses… He has been good in the ministry that He has given you and He will continue to be good because He is the author of everything. THANK YOU GOD FOR EVERYTHING THAT WAS LIVED THIS YEAR and Thank you for everything that you will do next year!

Next came the couple of Favio, from Buenos Aires, and Jimena, originally from the province Mendoza, who joyfully gave their “yes” and stepped forward into a new level of commitment and love.

We are so happy to have been present along the way as these two couples were formed and have now come to together to share their lives, each serving their Lord in the mission field.

And if that weren’t enough, we also had the privilege of welcoming our new “nephew of the heart” when Jorge and Loyda became new parents to handsome little Natanael, whose name means “gift from God” and who was so waited and prayed for. He really is a gift from God and we are so thankful for this big “little” miracle; he is proof of God’s faithful and love.

Mexico, Lybia, Suriname, England, New Zealand, Paraguay, Venezuela… these were the nations that we interceding for during the year 2011, and for this reason we closed the year celebrating all of the nations in our last missions service.

 We held the service in the Family Centre Church, where the church’s missions department was responsible for organizing a nations fair in which they represented seven different nations, sharing not only information about each country but also points for prayer and typical foods.

 It was a very special time for all where we observed how God’s hand has been present in each nation and how as body of Christ, we can be part of His work, not only through our prayer but also by offering as well. We have the privilege to touch these nations and blessing them with God’s message for salvation.

 We continue to trust in that God will respond  all of those prayers made during 2011 and will carry on doing so through all of the new year, because His heart continues to beat for each nation on Earth.

Each Saturday we have seen the great need that these families have to know God, and they are able to do so through the lives of their children. On Saturday, December 10, we finalized the time that we had established to work in this neighbourhood but the personal visits to each family will continue.

We wish to thank the family Piedrabuena, who are members of our church, and who lent us their home to use during this time. The family recently invited the children to join in on the decorating of a Christmas tree, made completely of plastic bottles, and which measured an amazing 3 metres tall.  The children were so happy to be part of these activities and the neighbours couldn’t stop watching all of the work that the family was doing with them.

The work done in this neighbourhood has opened doors for us to work in the public schools and with the adults that have expressed their desire to continue studying in order to finish their primary education.

This has been the start of something very special that God has for each of the families of the neighbourhood of Molina Punta. We need your prayers for them, so that God will guide us to each house to visit, that the obstacles in the way of this ministry will be broken and that we will be able to work with the public school in the neighbourhood. Please pray for the workers that we need as well, so that God can achieve His purposed in each and every one of the children that have accepted Him into their hearts.

Thank you to each family that entrusted their family members to us during this time. Thank you to each church and pastor that allowed us the opportunity to serve together with them during the practical outreach phase of the school. Thank you to each family that received us in houses and made us feel at home.

Thank you to God for continuing to transform lives and for giving us the privledge to be part of His work in missions. In 2012, missions await you, your calling awaits you, God awaits you… the next DTS starts in February!

The school this year had eight students from Argentina and Chile and were able to travel to a grand total of ten different countries during the practical phase of their school. Many of the students have projects to continue working in their home churches, opening missions departments, others stay to work as full-time missionaries, while others have plans to bless and serve the nations by anwering the command to “Go” as given by Jesus in Matthew 28:19. The next school is in July, 2012.

The second semester school of Biblical Studies- Core Course also finished for the year, holding its graduation on Friday, December 2. This semester there were four students that accepted the challenge to deepen their knowledge of God’s word and to change their lives through putting it into practice every day. The next school will begin on March 12, 2012.

The camp focused on topics such as the importance of God’s presence in ministry. The finale of the camp led the kids to a deeper search for God and to a more intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit.

Missionaries from our base shared devotionals and teachings such as “Relationship with God”, “The Holy Spirit” and other related topics with the goal of encouraging and exhorting the youth to a greater comittment in their intimacy with God.

Throughout the camp the kids enjoyed different activities such as their choreography rehearsals, morning devotionals, worship, sports and many other fun activities. Each of the teenagers in attendance put in effort to achieve each challenge and really deepen their relationship with God, something that was quite visible throughout the camp.
