Each year the ministry of King’s Kids holds a camp to allow the entry of new children and teenagers into the group and to become a part of the ministry.

We spent this past Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with these new aspiring ministry members and it was a time where our current ministry members could take on the role of leaders. They were the ones who organized the whole camp, directing the times of worship, ministration, and also sharing teachings on values and biblical principles, which are the blueprint for our ministry.

We are so thankful to our ministry members for all that they did to organize and work during this camp, and also for the nine new King’s Kids that have just joined the group. They are now a part of the ministry and thus a part of all the projects to “minister to God’s heart” in all that we do.

“And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends; also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before…” (Job 42:10)

Job was afflicted, under great pressure and suffering. His friends visit didn’t help at all! They treated him as a sinner, and unfairly accused him, all the while Job tried to show them that he was a man of integrity. Besides, the one that should judge him was God, not his friends. But here were his friends, accusing him of everything imaginable to be the cause of Job’s suffering, and this only brought him for sadness and pain.

After Job’s friends left, Job was bothered by yet another uncomfortable situation: God has Job to pray for them!!

For God to forgive the sins of his friends, he had to do something, specifically to offer sacrifices in their name, to pray for them, and only then would they be forgiven.

When God has Job to do this, he could have said, “God, they should be asking ME for forgiveness for all that they said against me! Now I have to pray for them, for you to forgive and bless them? That’s not fair! I don’t want to do it.” And it would have been understandable and reasonable if he had said that, because Job was still suffering and afflicted!

The bible teaches us that after Job obeyed God in this, God freed him!

“And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends”

When somebody offends you, doesn’t trust you, insults you, or falsely accuses you, how do you react? What is your attitude? What would you like to do? Pray for them? Of course not! But that is what God asks of us! And that was Job’s obedience, and this was what brought double the blessing! “the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.”

The enemy has no way into our lives when we are willing to obey, even when we have to forgive or pray for those that have hurt us. When have you gone through similar situations in your life? Do you stop to pray for them, and bless them? What is your attitude? Are you willing to take the same attitude as Job and receive God’s blessings?

Easter Weekend, a time when the whole world celebrates and remembers the death and resurrection of Christ: an event that continues to impact the nations.

The evangelism ministry together with the mission called this important date through sharing with the general public the true meaning of Easter at the city of Corrientes’ river coast. The message shared was that we are not just remembering something that happened years ago but that Jesus is alive today and His desire is to rise in the hearts of each person that lives without him. The evangelism was carried out through surveys that were about this date, and each person surveyed had the possibility to hear the message of salvation in a clear way. It also gave each of them the opportunity to voice their doubts or questions about God, and also help them to understand the answers that we find in the Holy Bible.

We thank God for allowing us to be part of the Great Commission and see the miracle of resurrection in the hearts of each person that opened themselves up to receiving life from God.

Why do you seek the living among the dead? Luke 24:5

Each month the King’s Kids ministry gathers together with all of the families of each child and teenager that forms part of the group and ministers with choreographies, evangelism and service.

Why do we do it? So that the parents can also be part of what their children are doing and see how they minister to God’s heart.

The theme for this particular family meeting on Saturday, March 31 was love, and so the colour to be wearing was red. The whole dinner was organized by the children and teenagers of the group, who shared times of worship and a biblical word that was both encouraging and challenging. It was a night full of surprises and the search and exaltation of our God.

All present at the dinner were reminded of the importance of family:  a value that the bible has left for us as an inheritance, and that it is something we must cultivate it, care for it, and strengthen it.

What can I say?  What expression can I give? You have risen!!! A cross on the horizon and an empty tomb; miles of hope and opportunities for salvation ahead! In all of history, never has anyone ever been able to express what this act meant and means today. There are many theories, but only one truth; many versions, but only one unrepeatable lifetime. Humanity was taken aback, the earth shook, and death was conquered. Nothing that had or has been lived was superior to the expression of love sent from heaven: the trinity was in agreement and the angels were the accomplices to the greatest story ever lived. God, who opened His arms in love, and He opened a tomb so that He could live in your heart. The illogical, the supernatural:  He removes the stone and walks through walls, all to show that His power is real and that His love can fill the void in your life. His love is the visible proof to your doubt, that He can reach you wherever you, in whatever crisis you may be living. He is waiting for you at the shore, without rebuke, without reproach, there is a new opportunity. In Him we can find a new dawn.

If the night has been long, and your hope is extinguishes, if the waves of your problems are beating you down, in the dusk and on the horizon there is a cross at which you can leave all of your burdens and the sin that weighs you down. But just ahead, there is a new dawn, the dawn of an empty tomb, with a guarantee for life, with endless hope. He has risen!! He is alive!! He died so that you may live and He rose again to live in you.

On March 25, Youth With A Mission no only reconised this important day but we also mobilised a team to go to one of the central squares in our downtown in the city of Corrientes.The pro-life event was organised by the evnagelism ministry together with support of the King’s Kids ministry, who presented choreographies proclaiming the value of life and the importance of caring for it. The art ministry also participated through a drama which showed the reality of abortion and the consequences that it brings.

The purpose of the event was that those people that approached us could understand the importance of life and all that God originally planned and dreamed for us in the moment that we were conceived. Through surveys, we were able to learn what the general public’s opinion towards abortion is and also leave them with a clear and simple message: that each of us and our lives are of value to God.

The church celebrated this special occasion from the 9^th to the 11^th of March with extra services, each aimed at exalting Gods faithfulness throughout these 4 years.

Besides the usual time of praise and worship, the youth and men’s group each prepared special items which reflected their  gratefulness to the Lord for His answer to each and every prayer  for health, restoration of families, among other motives. Many took the opportunity to share testimonies of how the Lord has come through on a personal level and as a body during these years.

The church’s pastor David Olivera placed emphasis on this year’s slogan: “living like over comers”  reminding each church member that what leads us to live in victory is when we walk in light of God’s truth, it is God’s Word that gives us this light and leads us to live in freedom and in all the plans and purposes he has for each of our lives.

We are more than grateful for these 4 years of seeing lives transformed and now look forward to the years to come that will bring us new opportunities to reach out to every person and home that needs this transformation.

A week ago we started this year’s Rescue and Counselling school at our base. The word that God gave us for this time is found in Jeremiah 33:6+7: “Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security. I will bring Judah and Israel back from captivity and will rebuild them as they were before.” This promise of restoration we feel is a promise for the nations represented by the 7 students taking part in the school: Chile, The United States, Ecuador and Argentina. Each of them has arrived with a heart willing to be taught and formed so that they can be a key part of the social and spiritual happenings in each of their homelands.

On Thursday the 8^th of March as a base we took the time to dedicate our day to all the wonderful woman that God has blessed this world with. In the morning we were able to reach out to 40 woman in our own neighbourhood through a beauty clinic that we held in the communal plaza. The clinic offered each woman different kinds of pampering, from nails to haircuts and facials. We also presented them with an information booth where they were able to gain knowledge on different social subjects such as: bulimia and anorexia, a woman’s identity, etc. all we did was aimed at making each woman present feel valued and wanted for who she is… Unique.

In the afternoon, from 8:30 onwards, we had the opportunity to organise together with the city’s ‘Woman’s council’ an event at the Regatas sports club, which was assisted by about 250 people. The main performance was done by Lizzy Gastelum, a well known Mexican singer, who presented various songs. Lizzy also took the time to share her testimony on how she was a victim of domestic violence and abuse and how she was able to leave that horrific life behind and start anew together with her daughters, in this way encouraging other woman who might find themselves in a similar situation that there is hope.

The women who attended the event were ministered to individually and many showed an interest in attending future monthly talks and workshops , that would focus on subjects directly affecting woman in today’s world and in their family environment.

It fills us with great joy to be walking in this new challenge as Youth With a Mission here in Corrientes Capital City. A few months ago our online Christian radio station, New Generation, started airing over the internet offering its listeners up to date music and programming. The programming includes: Life testimonies, pearls from the Bible, a ‘Did you know?!’ section, information on missions, and much more. God has filled us with the burden to be able to use this means to encourage and lift up Christians in their daily lives but also to reach those who don’t know Him and who need to hear His message of hope and love. The media world is a very important area that we as Christians can use to be able to cross boundaries with this message and reach those places where very often we can’t physically go.
